1500 hours, or approximately one year.
Includes the following
hair cutting
styling
coloring
permanent waving
anatomy and physiology
skin care
facials and make-up
(massaging, cleaning, stimulating, manipulating, exercising, beautifying or similar work upon the scalp, face, neck, arms or bust, but does not include nail technologies.
Important Note:
This course is the same length as the Hairdressing and Nail Technology course without the nail technology. It is highly recommended that individuals take the combined course in Cosmetology and Nail Technology for a well rounded education in the field.

The following data applies to the time period July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011.
The on-time graduation rate for CH - Hairdresser is 0%. Students are given 5 days allowance for sick/personal days. These days are included in the calculations for the on-time graduation rate and make up the 48 weeks. However, if the enrolled student misses more than the 5 sick/personal days allotted, it drops the on-time graduation rate. These students still graduate, just not in the 48 weeks time frame.
The CH Course does not include manicuring.
